About Us

..

Park Avenue Methodist Church agrees with the current policy of the Methodist

Church. It is our intention that all members, leaders and those visiting the

premises should experience a safe and secure environment in which to enjoy

their activities.

.

We expect all who use our premises to be aware of the implications of

this policy, and to comply with it to the best of their ability. Outside users

must comply with this policy or that of a similar policy recognised by

another agency that is party to current legislative requirements.

.

We whole-heartedly encourage and support the leaders of our groups in

all that they do for the well-being of those who attend the various

activities throughout the week.

SAFEGUARDING CHILDREN AND YOUNG PEOPLE

.

Park Avenue Methodist Church takes seriously the 1989 Children's Act

produced by the Home Office.  It is the responsibility of each one of us to

prevent the physical, sexual and emotional abuse of children and young

people to prevent abuse and to report any abuse discovered or suspected.

Any person using Park Avenue premises must adopt either the Methodist

Safeguarding policy and sign the appropriate form to declare they have not

been convicted or received a formal caution concerning offences against

children or young people; or prove that they have already signed such

agreement.  Failure to comply will mean that the premises cannot be

used by the person(s) concerned.

.

ALL ENQUIRIES VIA CHURCH OFFICE - TEL: 01604 720624.
