Lord Jesus, during the Easter season
As we celebrate your resurrection
     May Your kingdom come
When we are feeling down and helpless,
     May Your kingdom come.
When joy is gone and we feel hopeless
     May Your kingdom come.
When war rages and innocents suffer,
     May Your kingdom come.
When prejudices triumph over compassion,
     May Your kingdom come.
When we fail to help and love our neighbours,
     May Your kingdom come.
When our hearts are empty of love and commitment,
     May Your kingdom come. Amen
